Journal Entry #8 (May 10, 2021)

Only a few more weeks left until the end of the Spring 2021 semester. I am currently working on my first draft for the engineering proposal and am finding it hard. I initially thought that this was going to be somewhat easy for me with the outline I had created. However, I am struggling with creating a proper proposal. I have all the research and data, but do not really know how to bring about a compelling way to grab the readers attention. I feel as if my proposal is somewhat boring to read through. I do not just want …

Journal Entry #7 (April 29, 2021)

With this entry, I have submitted the final draft to my Lab Report assignment. Honestly speaking, out of all the assignments that I have written so far I can say that this one was particularly hard to do. Even now after handing in the final draft, I still feel that it was a sub-par paper that could have definitely been better. Although I still feel that it was lacking in many ways, I hope that I was able to be as concise as I could be with presenting the research and topic. Currently, we are in the beginning stages of …

Journal Entry #6 (April 19, 2021)

With the Lab report draft completed for now, I can definitely say that I am not confident with it at all. Reading through my first draft, I found it to be lacking so many things. One thing that is very noticeable to me, is the lack information on the “Results” section. I wish to expand on it more and show various types of data, but I wasn’t too sure if the data was going to be perfect to add in regards to the topic. Another thing that is somewhat bothering me, is that I feel that I strayed off from …

Journal Entry #5 (April 14, 2021)

The outline of the lab report is shaping up to be somewhat difficult to write. The topic that I have chosen to write about it, is the affects video conferencing has on human behavior during these times of remote learning. Whilst searching online and through different resources, I have gathered a fair amount of research and past- experiments concerning the topic that I have. I am finding myself struggling in the terms of condensing the research that was found. There is a maximum of 3 pages for this lab report, and when it comes to writing I always find myself …

Journal Entry #4 (April 11, 2021)

With this journal entry comes the near closure to the semester. I haven’t realized until now just how fast time has been moving these past few weeks. With time moving by so quickly lately I have become somewhat worried about a few things. One thing that I have begun to worry about is the lab report assignment. This has been in my mind, as I am finding it a little hard to decide on what topic to write about. I want to do something related to the technological field in regards to remote learning and how it is affecting human …

Journal Entry #3 (April 4, 2021)

Just last week on Monday, my group finished and submitted our final draft of the Memo project. Personally, I feel that we did a really good job in making our point and backing up our claims with sufficient evidence from valid resources. Working with my team members was an experience as well. It was the first time I had to work with a group virtually, so although awkward at first, we all got along well and did our best on the memo. Initially nervous when starting out this project, now I am feeling calm and had fun with how things …

Journal #2 (March 23, 2021)

As of now, we are currently working on our second writing assignment in the class, called the “Memo”. This time instead of working alone, we are all paired up in a group. So far we have finished submitting our first draft. I like working with my group and they are very fast and efficient when it comes to conducting their work. Their inputs on the writing assignment are also a big help in creating this paper to what we want it to be, as well as have it meet the requirements the professor wants. I’ll be honest and say that …

Journal #1 (March 9, 2021)

We have just finished our first essay in the class. Although Professor Otte said that I had a strong first draft, I’m still not confident with the essay. I’ve always struggled with this aspect when it comes to my own writing, but hopefully I’ll be able to start learning to appreciate my own work soon. Nonetheless, writing the technical description was a pretty fun assignment! I had really enjoyed the research that had to be done and informing others about the uses/functionality of Virtual Reality headsets. I also learned a lot of new things about the device as well! I …
