Only a few more weeks left until the end of the Spring 2021 semester. I am currently working on my first draft for the engineering proposal and am finding it hard. I initially thought that this was going to be somewhat easy for me with the outline I had created. However, I am struggling with creating a proper proposal. I have all the research and data, but do not really know how to bring about a compelling way to grab the readers attention. I feel as if my proposal is somewhat boring to read through. I do not just want to give facts and data, but I also want my readers to understand the importance of climate change and how it brings the issues we are facing now. I am just not sure on how to bring forth that attention yet.

I am confident with how this paper will come out to be though. It’s a topic that I am interested in and want people to know about. Hopefully, I am able to convey all my ideas and opinions in it without it sounding messy. Reading upon the sources that I have found was just as fun whilst writing part of my draft. I was able to learn much about Hurricane Sandy and the various affects it had in the city. I also learned about how much the city has spent in regards to rebuilding the affected areas and making sure transportation systems are protected as well. Even though I am finding difficulties with the proposal, I am thoroughly enjoying writing and researching.
